The City has recently received several complaints about citizens putting out food to feed the wildlife. This is creating several issues. It is attracting the wildlife into town and in turn some are getting hit by cars and others are eating residence’s shrubs and bushes. Some yards are covered in deer feces which is a health hazard. A residence also had a deer come through a window.
The City does have an ordinance against scattering or throwing items out that can be eaten by wildlife. Therefore, we respectfully request that anyone feeding the wildlife to cease and desist.
