Communications Center
The City of Glen Dale communications center operates 24 hours a day with a staff of five dispatchers. This dispatch center answers all public emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating the response of police, fire, rescue, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel.
During regular working hours, dispatchers serve as switchboard operators for the City, routing all calls to the appropriate department. After regular working hours, they dispatch the water department for water breaks and street department for major roadway problems.
