At Monday evening's council meeting, Mayor Janet Scott proclaimed this Friday, May 15, 2026, Arbor Day in the City of Glen Dale. Glen Dale is proud to be recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA!

This Friday and Saturday, May 15th and 16th, is Spring Clean Up. Dumpsters will be available at the city garage from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm both days

The City of Glen Dale is again offering the Veterans Banner program. Banners will be displayed along Wheeling Avenue, from Memorial Day through Veteran's Day annually. The banners will be 2-sided. Orders may be placed at Cockayne Farmstead. There are only a few spaces available.

Come out to the City Park on Friday, June 5th for Music in the Park. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy music from the band Hot Wired from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. We hope to see your there!  

Please join us for the City of Glen Dale annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 11:00 am at the city park.

City offices will be closed on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in observance of Election Day. Tuesday garbage customers will be picked up on Monday, May 11, 2026.
